The Following is a Description of our Alternative Dial-Up Services!

Filtered Access: (content filtering) Available in many locations! Your Family can now more safely surf the Internet through our Filtered Access Service. By simply using this filter will restrict different types of online materials from being viewed on your computer screen, including Porn, weapons, etc. Our Family Filter works to block objectionable material and provides both "friendly" & "g-rated" access for Children. Users do not have direct control or override capability for this service, making it secure and safe for Family use.

ISDN Access: a type of circuit switched telephone network system, designed to allow digital transmission of voice and data over ordinary telephone copper wires, resulting in better quality and higher speeds than available with analog systems. More broadly, ISDN is a set of protocols for establishing and breaking circuit switched connections, and for advanced call features for the user.

Static IP: A static IP is an IP Address that stays the same every time the user logs in. The opposite is a dynamic IP, which changes every time a user logs in. Reasons why a user might want a Static IP: Connect with a specific location on a regular basis Or use financial reporting software that links with corporate headquarters every night, which only accepts requests from known IPs. You are setting up an internal network and need a consistent IP setting in your router or firewall. You frequently play multiplayer games and need to have the same IP for a certain game.

Dedicated Access:

Multi-Linking: 1 Computer / 2 Modems / 2 Dialup Accounts, Doubled Up!

How many hours do I get with LanZing.Net?

We market LanZing.Net as unlimited, but not dedicated service. Dedicated service is defined in the Terms of Service and can be reviewed by clicking here.

Where is your technical support located?

LanZing.Net's technical support is based in the United States. We have both English speaking and Spanish speaking reps available.

Do you advertise with a banner on my screen?

LanZing.Net does not place a banner on your screen like the Free Internet Providers used to do. You are purchasing banner free service from LanZing.Net.

How many screen names do I get?

LanZing.Net does not offer screen names, this is a feature unique to AOL. With LanZing.Net, everyone will share one login ID to the internet. From there, you can add-on, up to 5 email accounts that yourself, friends and family can use.

    Can I use Instant Messenger?

Yes. LanZing.Net is compatible and will work with many of the most common instant messenger programs including but not limited to: AOL, MSN, ICQ, and Yahoo. We even have a link where you can download these messenger clients in our members area.

Can I use my account when traveling?

Yes. When you join LanZing.Net you get access to over 12,500 access numbers. Our network covers over 97% of the US and parts of Canada as well. You may roam for free across all POP locations that we offer. If you use LanZing.Net's software this is easy, just push the select button on the dialer to select a new number in the location that you are traveling to.

Do I need software to access LanZing.Net?

No, but it is recommended. By using software, your access numbers will always remain up to date and the software will always list our most up to date contact information in your dialer. In addition, it makes setup of LanZing.Net's internet service easy as it will automatically configure your computer and setup your email program for you.

Do you offer DSL, or high speed service?

We do not currently offer DSL, this service is (Coming Soon!), but we do offer Accelerated Dial-up. See our website for more details.

The access number you have is the same as my previous ISP, why?

We utilize some of the largest networks in the world including MCI and Qwest to provide service. It is likely that your current provider may be using the same providers that we are to purchase service.

    Do you offer parental controls?

We do not currently offer parental controls. We do have plans to offer this feature in the near future. However we do have a Filtered Network, for more info click here.

What is ISDN service, do you support it?

ISDN stands for Integrated Services Digital Network. Unlike dial-up which gives you various speeds, ISDN gives you a constant 64k speed. However to use it, you must have a digital phone line from your phone company and digital modem. There is an additional fee applied by your phone company and setup costs for the modem. There is no addition cost from us! If you wish to order an ISDN line, first contact your phone company for pricing and details.

    Do you offer static IP's?

YES we do! (Basic 56k Static IP & Digital ISDN 64k Static IP). We also provide it with our Multi-Link Network , (Dual 112k Static IP  & Dual ISDN 128k Static IP).

    Do you offer Multilink?

YES we do! Available for all of our Dialup Plans... (Basic 56k/112k & ISDN 64k/128k)

Can I use multiple computers at the same time?

Only one computer may connect to the username at a time unless multiple concurrency is purchased. We can provision you with an unlimited number of connections for a single username however the rate of each session is the same as an additional account. If you want this, setup your first user and then contact billing and request multiple concurrency. This is great for company accounts, or any account which needs to be shared amongst many users from multiple computers.

How do I cancel my previous ISP?
