KB10185: How to Uninstall the LanZing.Net High Speed Software
(for Mac OSX users)

Summary: I would like to completely uninstall the LanZing.Net High Speed Software. I'm using a Macintosh, running OSX. How do I do this?

OVERVIEW

This article describes how to uninstall the LanZing.Net High Speed Software in Mac OSX.

HOW-TO

MacOS X 10.3

  1. Open the LanZing.Net High Speed program by clicking on the icon in the dock.

  2. On this box that pops up:

Click the 'X' in the upper left hand corner.

  3. Click Exit.

  4. Open the Hard Drive.

  5. Expand Applications by clicking on the arrow just to the left.

  6. Single click on LanZing.Net High Speed.

  7. Click on File->Move To Trash.

  8. The next time you empty the trash, the program will be completely uninstalled.

MacOS X 10.2

Unfortunately, with MacOS X 10.2, you cannot simply drag this application to the trash can (you can in MacOS X 10.3). To work around this:

  1. Log in to the machine with an administrative account.

  2. Open a terminal (Launch "Finder", browse to "/Applications/Utilities" and launch "Terminal.app")

  3. In the terminal type "cd /Applications" then hit "ENTER" key

  4. Type "sudo rm -rf LanZing.Net\ High\ Speed.app" then hit "ENTER" key
