Outlook 2003 to send and receive email?
OVERVIEW
This article will walk you through manually setting
up your computer to send and receive POP3/SMTP email
using Outlook 2003.
It is easier to configure your computer using our
LanZing.Net Easy Configuration software, which will
configure your computer automatically. If you wish to do
so, download the setup
file and run it.
If for some reason you want or need to set up your
email manually, then read on.
HOW-TO
- Open Microsoft Outlook.
- From the Tools menu, choose Email Accounts.
- Select Add a new e-mail account. Click the
Next Button.
- Select POP3. Click the Next button.
- In the Your Name field, type your name.
- In the E-mail Address field, type your full
email address
(e.g., username@lanzing.net).
- In the Incoming mail server (POP3) field,
type pop.lanzing.net
- In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field,
type smtp.lanzing.net
- In the User Name field, type your full email
address (e.g., username@lanzing.net).
- In the Password field, type your email
password.
- Click the More Settings... button.
- Click the Outgoing Server tab.
- Make sure that My outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication is checked and that Use same
settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the Finish button.
- Congratulations! You have successfully setup your
email client.
